Refund and Returns Policy
At Durban Curry Lovers, we take pride in delivering high-quality, freshly packed masala blends. Due to the nature of food products, our returns policy is structured to protect product safety and quality while ensuring fair treatment of our customers.
1. Food Safety & Hygiene
For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on any food products that have been:
- Opened
- Used
- Tampered with
- Damaged after delivery
This policy ensures that all products remain safe and uncontaminated for every customer.
2. Incorrect or Damaged Orders
If you receive:
- The wrong product
- A damaged package
- A defective or compromised item
You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
Please email us with:
- Your order number
- Clear photographs of the product and packaging
- A brief description of the issue
If the claim is validated, we will:
- Replace the product at no additional cost, or
- Issue a refund to your original method of payment
3. Change of Mind
Due to hygiene regulations applicable to food products, we do not accept returns for change-of-mind purchases.
Please review product descriptions carefully before placing your order.
4. Delivery Issues
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged:
- Note the damage with the courier at the time of delivery where possible.
- Take photographs immediately.
Failure to report visible damage promptly may affect your claim.
5. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days and will be issued via the original payment method.
Delivery fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
6. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA). Where products are defective or not as described, you are entitled to remedies as provided by law.
